Director of the Collective Intelligence for Democracy Laboratory (@Participa_Lab) and coordinator of the project that connects Medialab-Prado with the Open Government, Participation and Transparency Area of the City of Madrid. ParticipaLab focuses on collaborative research on democratic innovation and the development of new tools for citizen participation in democratic processes. Most of the work in this laboratory is related to Decide Madrid, the citizen participation platform of Madrid City Council.
Previously Yago Bermejo has been working on LaboDemo.net, an organization focused on the democratization of the Internet created after the 15M movement. Labo Demo has created for the Podemos party a strategy that incorporates different tools that have enabled the participation of hundreds of thousands of people. Yago has worked on the European Union’s D-CENT project designing collaborative legislation tools. He has also participated as a mentor and lecturer in different events: g0v.tw Summit in Taiwan, Future Innovation Forum in South Korea and LABICBR in Rio de Janeiro, organized by SEGIB (Ibero-American General Secretariat).
