PhD in Information and Knowledge Society from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC). Since 2011 he has coordinated the Tecnopolítica project in the Communication Networks and Social Change research group at the UOC’s Internet Interdisciplinary Institute (IN3). He investigates the relationship between communication technologies and societies, with special emphasis on political participation and democracy in the network society. He is one of the promoters of the Decidim project, the digital participation platform developed by Barcelona City Council. He has also been part of European projects focused on technological autonomy, democracy, decentralization, free software and Blockchain, such as D-CENT and DECODE.
