Doctor of Philosophy
Javier de la Cueva (Madrid, 1962) holds a Licentiate degree in Law and is Doctor of Philosophy at the Complutense University of Madrid. He works as a practicing lawyer. Amongst other cases, he has handled the defence of cases related to usage of free intellectual property licenses and diverse technological platforms. He is lecturer for «Intellectual Property» at the Universidad Europea de Madrid (Music Creation Degree) and for «Information Law: Media Regulation» at IE University (Bachelor in Communication). Beside his work as a lawyer and as a lecturer, he is currently engaged in programming technological projects, in giving lectures and in writing about his specialization. He is a GNU/Linux user since 1998 and a systems administrator under this operating system since 2003, writes his scripts in Python and enjoys n3 notation when modelling semantic web ontologies. Last but not least, he is member of the Board of Directors of Fundación Ciudadana Civio.
